All about Maths
This year year 6 will be folllowing the Maths Mastery approach using the NCTEM 'Small Steps'. This will enable children to really develop their maths understanding and they will be able to reason and explain the maths. Children will using concrete objects daily to really deepen and broaden their maths skills. During Spring we will fosucing Multiplication, Division and will move onto Fractions, Decimals and Percentages - an complete overview of the year has been attached so you can see the units which will be covered and when, as well as see ow other maths skills will be applied into the different units.
In year 6 will also be following the Rock Star Times Table app where they will have 3min TTable challenges each day to really develop their skills in multiplication and division. Children will compete against each, other classes and even other schools.
