Welcome to Victoria Road Primary School, where our motto NUTURE, INSPIRE and ACCOMPLISH weaves through all of the work that we do daily to enrich the lives of all in our Victoria Road Family.
Here at Victoria Road, are all proud of aspiring to be to be ‘Top 2%ers’ every day of our lives. This means that we all try to be positive, caring, and hardworking in all that we do- every day. At the core of our work is promoting positive mental health and wellbeing in order to enable all to have the skills to help to lead successful, happy lives and make a positive contribution to society in the future. This is shown in our ‘Key Drivers’ for our curriculum; Health and Wellbeing, Global and Local Communities and Possibilities.
Our underpinning ethos is to help everybody to believe in their own self-worth by fostering a respect for each other and those from other cultures and life-styles, via a culture of embracing and celebrating differences. This extends beyond the school, into the wider local and global communities.
Our children value the wide-ranging, hands-on experiential learning that helps them to develop their enquiring minds, creativity, resilience, confidence and excellent communication skills- key skills for their next stage in their learning and skills for life.
The wide-ranging curriculum (using the Cheshire West and Chester Agreed Syllabus for RE and the National Curriculum for all other subjects) inspires all learners and actively encourages investigation that feeds their thirst for knowledge. Our enhancement of the curriculum is designed to engage all our children and offers a wide range of opportunities linked to the core values of the school (Nurture, Inspire, Accomplish) and our Key driver Health and Wellbeing and Possibilities.
As part of ASPIRE (a research based academy trust) and the Northwich Educational Partnership (our close community of local schools), our staff value the networking and peer-to-peer support that an extensive learning community can offer in order to provide the very best education for our children.
We look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful school,
Cathy Lord (Headteacher)
