Victoria Road Primary School is now closed.
The government announced that UK schools will close to pupils as at the end of the school day on Friday 20 March 2020, with the exception of certain categories of pupils.
We have confirmation of the exact criteria of pupils who will still be able to access the school premises next week and we are working to confirm how pupils who need free school meals can access them.
We will post a further update in due course.
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to Victoria Road Primary School.
At Victoria Road we stand for ‘Nurture, Inspire and Accomplish’ and this is at the heart of all we do. We work as a team of teachers and support staff to plan exciting and relevant experiences for our children, which take account of the complete child. We are also passionate about the work of Andy Cope ‘The Art of Being Brilliant’ and using this to help all of us to be the very best that we can be - a ‘Top 2%er’! This ethos feeds into the very high expectations that all at Victoria Road have for both themselves, other staff members and your child.
We are part of the ASPIRE Academy trust and this has been an extremely successful partnership. We get to benefit massively from being part of a research based trust- which means that we are constantly reflecting upon the best teaching for your child and have access to the very best training and support.
Our school is a thriving, positive community where children have the opportunity to flourish, grow and be fully prepared for the next stage in their school life.
We are immensely proud of our Victoria Road team and pupils and the amazing work that we do here. We are passionate about providing the very best education for the pupils in our care. We believe that we are educating the children for life by ensuring that their learning is relevant, fun and creates kind and caring members of our community.
