 'Our Class our Success Story'

In our class we will work together to achieve success. We will explore motivational quotes and find ones that truly inspire us. We will consider best ways to work, and look at our working memory to really unpick how we work, and the ways we remember key facts and information, which can then be used in any pieces of work. We will explore vocabularly using the Word Ninja - alowing us to build up a broad and rich bank of words and most importantly we will be reading from a range of authors and developing a love of reading.

This year we will have a 2 week timetable to ensure we are able to cover a wide range of of our curriculum. These timetables are attached.

Our Class Moto: There is NO option in Opting Out!

PE will be each week on Monday & Tuesday afternoons with Meevo - full PE kits MUST be worn.

Homework will be issued using the CGP Maths and SPaG books and each week on an alternate basis and will be linked to something you have been covering in class that week. Homework will now be give out on Thursday each week to be returned by the following Monday.  All children are required to be reading at home each night for 20-30mins as well as practising their times tables.

Spellings will be issued each monday, they will comprose of 10 words - they will have 5 new ones and 5 from the previos week as this helps with the childs metacognition.  Children will also have access to the year 5/6 spellings mats each lesson and will be asked to incorpate the words in their writing.
